È unico nel suo genere il progetto generato, con amore e passione, da Barbara Franchin di Trieste, direttrice e supervisore di International Talent Support (ITS) piattaforma di scouting da lei fondata nel 2002 che offre supporto, visibilità e opportunità a giovani designer provenienti da tutto il mondo. È iniziato il conto alla rovescia.
L’Arcademy, che si svilupperà nelle sale della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trieste come collezione permanente, sarà una raccolta di 18mila portfolio, 325 outfits, 152 accessori, 103 gioielli e oltre 700 progetti fotografici.
Sale multidisciplinari, funzionali a formazione e workshop: uno spazio aperto a tutti senza limiti di età e professione. Una scatola, legata al mondo della moda, piena di materie prime e materiali da riutilizzare e a cui dare nuova vita nel massimo rispetto dell’impatto ambientale.
«Forza estetica ed etica si mescolano creando un emporio empatico capace di lasciare almeno un pensiero in chi lo visita», ci racconta Barbara Franchin. «Ci sono voluti due decenni di duro lavoro, ma generando creatività si genera creatività», continua Barbara.
Questo “laboratorio” è progettato per essere sostenibile, inclusivo, generoso, trans-culturale, trans-generazionale e multiculturale.
Oltre a promuovere designer emergenti della moda, Barbara Franchin ha saputo coinvolgere i maggiori brand internazionali come Samsung e Yoox e sostiene stage e tirocini presso aziende come Swarovski, Vogue e Diesel.
La sua azienda si compone di 25 collaboratori, per la maggior parte donne, che si occupano costantemente di promuovere e divulgare la creatività e il design in tutte le sue forme.
Un costante dialogo e scambio tra moda, design, arte e cultura, un’agorà tra i protagonisti della creatività di scala globale.
«Conservare progetti e materiali di giovani designer provenienti da tutto il mondo costituisce un patrimonio per il presente e il futuro», conclude Barbara, dandoci appuntamento a Trieste.
