Con l’avvento della pandemia, si è verificata una rimodulazione degli stili di vita, con le limitazione relative sia agli spostamenti sia all’impossibilità di avere vita sociale, ma anche un forte cambiamento relativo al sistema tradizionale di lavoro. Sono crollati i lavori in presenza, nelle aziende, negli uffici, nella Pubblica Amministrazione. Si lavora in “Smart Working” ma per dirla in italiano “lavoro agile”, che poi tanto agile non è perché più che smart working è evidente che si tratta più di “home working”, con una fortissima commistione tra vita privata e lavorativa.
Ma il Covid-19 ha portato anche a un nuovo fenomeno: il “South Working”. Benvenuti al Sud diremmo! E sì, perché si stima che, nell’anno della pandemia, siano rientrati circa 100 mila “South Workers”. Tutti lavoratori dipendenti delle grandi imprese del Centro-Nord attualmente in smart working. L’indagine è stata condotta da Svimez (Associazione per lo Sviluppo del Mezzogiorno) su 150 grandi imprese con oltre 250 addetti, che operano al Centro-Nord nel manifatturiero e nei servizi: 45 mila è la stima esatta dei lavoratori che si sono spostati in questi mesi nel Mezzogiorno, mentre si arriva a 100mila contando anche i lavoratori delle piccole e medie imprese.
Desertificazione delle aziende e ripopolamento del Sud!
Negli ultimi 16 anni, oltre un milione di meridionali ha lasciato la propria città, numeri impressionati se solo pensiamo che in questi numeri sono compresi i cittadini di piccoli borghi molto diffusi al Mezzogiorno. Si è creato un movimento di opinione sul tema, dando un nome al fenomeno e creando una rete fra tutti i soggetti interessati: lavoratori, aziende ed Enti pubblici. E per creare spazi di coworking per il lavoro agile, per consentire ai South Worker di lavorare in un luogo adeguato di assiste anche alla riconversione di numerosi bar, biblioteche o librerie
Il South Working fa molto parlare perché, da fenomeno momentaneo, potrebbe diventare un’opportunità per un Mezzogiorno costantemente provato dall’emigrazione e dallo spopolamento.
Ma il fenomeno non è solo italiano. Immaginiamo quanti lavoratori italiani vivono e lavorano all’estero. Ormai il fenomeno dello smart working è largamente diffuso in tutto il globo ed ecco qui che in tanti, lavoratori e studenti, sono tornati in Italia dalle proprie famiglie di origine. Insomma un movimento globale che diventa locale. Il “Glocal Working” potremmo definirlo. Una rivoluzione nel mondo del lavoro che punta ad abbattere divari e disparità.
