GIOVANI E COVID-19: STATI D’ANIMO E SOCIALITÀ IN PANDEMIA

Prosegue l’inchiesta della Fondazione Marisa Bellisario sui giovani e le loro emozioni in periodo di pandemia. Abbiamo visto come considerano la scuola e come, per la fascia di ragazzi delle superiori, sia un luogo di socialità oltre che di apprendimento.

In questo numero approfondiamo i loro stati d’animo e come hanno vissuto la mancanza di socialità e di relazioni…sempre dando loro voce.

«Decisamente non bene. Penso che questa situazione ci abbia spinto un po’ a isolarci, è stato quasi alienante. Trovare la motivazione per seguire le lezioni, studiare e parlare con i professori è la parte più difficile».

«È un periodo demoralizzante, una stessa giornata che si ripete ormai da un anno».

«Ho vissuto e sto vivendo questo periodo non bene. Quando la Dad si svolgeva al 100% ero costantemente triste, non provavo neanche più tante emozioni, ero quasi apatica e anche oggi, mi capita spesso di avere male agli occhi e  mal di testa».

«Non ce la faccio più, i pomeriggi sono sempre uguali: mi stacco dal computer spesso con il mal di testa, mangio e dopo pranzo non ho voglia di fare assolutamente niente, né di studiare, né di dormire, né di guardare un film, né di mangiare, né di allenarmi un po’. Perciò studio male, senza motivazione. Sono arrabbiata, triste, vuota, svogliata, mi sento inutile».

“Di sicuro la DAD non aiuta noi studenti perché siamo sottoposti a stress e pressioni da parte dei docenti, che non hanno fiducia in noi e ci valutano in modo differente. Personalmente, credo che sia molto stancante, preferirei di gran lunga andare a scuola, perché essendo in prima liceo non riesco ad ambientarmi bene a distanza, ma credo sia meglio stare a casa e aspettare che tutto ciò finisca, piuttosto che rischiare.

Alla domanda su cosa sentono di avere perso quest’anno, rispondono:

«La spensieratezza… Stando molto tempo da sola per l’impossibilità di uscire, tendo a pensare di più e a chiudermi nei miei pensieri. Ho perso anche le piccole sensazioni che cambiavano le mie giornate come, ad esempio, l’ansia prima di una verifica, la ricreazione nel giardino della scuola, le chiacchierate con i compagni di classe».

«Tralasciando la scuola, ciò che più mi è mancato è stato non poter rivedere gli amici e andare in palestra. Mi sarebbe stato di supporto durante questo periodo difficile e lo avrei ritenuto una liberazione da una situazione stressante».

«Credo di aver perso la soglia di attenzione…».

Sarà importante per gli adulti e per le istituzioni, pensare a come aiutare i ragazzi a ritrovare lo stimolo necessario per sentirsi emotivamente coinvolti e per ricostruire quella socialità che in questo anno pandemico è stata messa in stand by.

E gli universitari come stanno vivendo questo momento?
