Sto seguendo il vostro impegno per l’Ucraina e da tempo apprezzo ciò che fate, e come lo fate, per le donne. Sono una donna di Ivrea ormai in pensione dopo anni di lavoro amministrativo in Olivetti e ci tengo a consegnare a voi il mio ricordo personale di Marisa Bellisario. Lei era una figura molto controversa, c era chi la amava e chi no ma erano sempre uomini che la giudicavano.

Dopo il diploma di ragioneria ho iniziato a lavorare in Olivetti a Ivrea, sede storico Palazzo Uffici. Era il novembre del 1976. Essere assunti in una realtà come la Olivetti rappresentava già un punto di arrivo. Ero entrata in quel palazzo e subito mi ero persa. Dallo scalone centrale si dipartivano a raggiera tre ale : A, B, C. Non riuscivo a capire da che parte mi trovavo, tutto era simile, le porte, i passaggi e gli slarghi. Non avevo avuto la sensazione dell’oppressione o l’ansia, piuttosto il luogo mi rendeva come una bambina che guarda un quadro: stupita e ammirata. Come poteva esserci un luogo così bello? pavimenti in marmo rosso e pareti in legno pregiato?.

La realtà sociale di Ivrea era ancora molto semplice, padri occupati in qualità di operai nelle aziende metalmeccaniche e mogli casalinghe o al massimo occupate in qualche lavoro a ore. Il luogo rappresentava una forma di riscatto per i figli degli operai cresciuti nelle case popolari, a pane e formaggio.

Era iniziato il mio viaggio nel mondo dell’occupazione. Dapprima le note compilate a mano su schede con spazi prefissati, poi digitate e salvate su delle specie di musicassette e infine travasate su grandi nastri neri, le cosiddette pizze. Il lavoro era tantissimo, e pile di documenti erano fermi su tutte le scrivanie. Persone che si spostavano da un ufficio all’altro, per portare bolle doganali, lettere di vettura, contabili bancarie.

C’era in quel palazzo alto sei piani una moltitudine di persone che come formiche entravano e uscivano dagli uffici, e pian piano quel palazzo diventava per chi ci lavorava una specie di seconda città nella città.

Ed è proprio durante questi spostamenti che incontravo Marisa Belisario. Era di stanza al 4° piano, nella zona vano scale, dove il suo ufficio era preceduto d quello della sua segretaria, una donnina piccola piccola. Lei era bella, alta, molto magra, elegante e sempre con dei foulard di seta variopinti, con stampe di fiori o geometriche.

Era una donna importante, come in quegli anni non ce n’erano.

Molti colleghi maschi la criticavano perché non era concepibile che lei potesse guidare stabilimenti e avere un posto di responsabilità, in fin dei conti era solo una donna! Ma erano proprio quegli uomini che non riuscivano a emergere, che ingiustamente l’accusavano. Una donna così brava ed importante faceva paura. Con lei pochi potevano competere.

Chi la conosceva meglio, perché aveva avuto rapporti di lavoro più stretti, invece la elogiava molto: «È una donna intelligente, non si fermerà all’Olivetti», dicevano

Ricordo che quando dirigeva la OCA (Olivetti Corporation of America) si diceva che tralasciasse gli aspetti esterni della gestione dello stabilimento. Non faceva ridipingere le pareti, non ammodernava gli infissi, ma destinava le risorse nella ricerca di nuovi prodotti. Investiva su personale qualificato ed esperto.

Quando lasciò la Olivetti, per Italtel qualcuno disse che avesse lasciato l’azienda per conflitti con l’autorità superiore, che non apprezzava una donna al comando.

A distanza di anni, dopo la sua uscita dalla Olivetti, si parlò ancora molto della sua carriera, del suo carisma, e della sua fama come donna politicamente impegnata.

Non perdere il suo ricordo, è come omaggiarla ancora oggi, in un momento così difficile.
