Confesso, sono una passionale ed entusiasta ma sono realista più che ottimista e quando ho dato inizio a quella spettacolare passerella dell’eccellenza femminile che è il Premio Marisa Bellisario mai avrei pensato di attraversare 35 anni di storia delle donne e del Paese. E oggi una serie di ricordi mi fanno riflettere. Eravamo al Palatrussardi ma già sulla Rai, per la prima volta delle ragazze neolaureate in Ingegneria conquistavano la platea televisiva come premiate, allora le iscritte erano il 4% e la laureata con 110 e lode appena una. Il Premio internazionale andò alla dissidente sovietica Elena Sacharova che, nel ritirare la Mela d’Oro, disse: «la femminilità è il più grande coraggio». Oggi che la Russia è in cima alle preoccupazioni mondiali fa effetto.
Trentacinque anni dopo, anno 2023, le neolaureate in Ingegneria sono tre, scelte tra decine e decine di candidature, e in tv mostrano il piglio deciso e disinvolto di una generazione già avanti. Per il management, la Mela d’Oro va a una donna – Valeria Sandei, giovane e bella – che si occupa di Intelligenza Artificiale, la sfida del futuro. Per le istituzioni, vince di misura la vice direttrice dell’Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale Nunzia Ciardi che si occupa di difendere il Paese dagli attacchi informatici e viene premiata da un’altra Mela d’Oro e amica da sempre della Fondazione Marisa Bellisario, Elisabetta Belloni prima donna alla guida dei servizi di sicurezza italiani. In 35 anni abbiamo rovesciato il mondo ed è bello e gratificante non solo aver assistito a questa scalata risoluta ma averla in parte favorita, incoraggiata, determinata.
C’è sempre il meglio dell’energia femminile sul palco del Premio Bellisario ma soprattutto ci sono storie di primati voluti, cercati, guadagnati sul campo. Penso a Sandra Gallina, la negoziatrice di ferro che ha traghettato l’Europa fuori dalla pandemia e che basta guardare negli occhi per credere che, davvero, non c’è ostacolo all’ottimismo della volontà. Penso a Barbara Jatta, prima donna alla guida dei Musei Vaticani, un polo museale che ogni anno attira oltre sette milioni di visitatori da tutto il mondo: una responsabilità che nei suoi occhi ha il peso effimero del privilegio di vivere nella bellezza. Penso ad Alessandra Balocco, catapultata alla guida di un’azienda storica dal dolore di una perdita, sorridente e confidente. Ce la farà. Penso a Paola Tricomi, “nata con un enigma scritto nel Dna” che ha sfidato pregiudizi e paure, simbolo di una forza femminile che non conosce ostacoli di sorta e che pensa al domani. Penso alla giovane direttrice Agnese Pini, la passione per il proprio lavoro che fa bruciare ogni tappa e ti mette alla guida.
E poi il Premio che mai avrei osato sperare di consegnare a Laura Mattarella. In questi otto anni abbiamo letto pochissimo. Riservatissima, un passo indietro sempre ma sempre presente con una discrezione voluta e ragionata. Una donna semplice, garbata, umile, se non sapessi che è la figlia del Presidente della Repubblica le daresti del tu dopo un attimo e infatti dopo poche conversazioni sarà lei a chiedermelo. Al Premio viene con le due figlie ventenni, ragazze come tante che guardano con orgoglio la madre per la prima volta protagonista assoluta della scena. Ecco, che Laura Mattarella abbia accettato il Premio Marisa Bellisario è la conferma di una credibilità e serietà di cui vado fiera.
Un’altra boa, un altro traguardo, con la certezza che qualcosa è cambiato, nel Paese e nelle donne. Perché di quei primati sono loro le artefici, il loro talento, la loro determinazione, i loro meriti le hanno portate sul gradino più alto. E intendono rimanerci. E con quel loro sguardo fiero parlano alle ragazze, dicono loro di crederci, di lavorare, di non arrendersi. Fanno loro dono di un sogno e invitano a percorrerlo, senza nascondere le difficoltà, la fatica, i pregiudizi anche ma mostrando – con l’esempio e con il sorriso di chi sa dare un senso a sacrifici e successi – che i desideri si avverano.
