Piove con insistenza sull’Emilia-Romagna, per la seconda volta in due settimane i corsi d’acqua iniziano a salire, i siti meteo presi d’assalto: pioverà ancora per giorni!
“Protezione Civile buongiorno? Passano le ore, le richieste di aiuto aumentano” Inizia così la prima lunga e buia notte di un centro operativo fra i tanti. Dalla Prefettura: allerta rossa per esondazioni e frane, l’acqua può salire di parecchi metri all’improvviso, preparatevi al peggio!
La macchina degli aiuti si mette in moto, i volontari arrivano alla spicciolata assonnati ma sempre pronti ognuno con un preciso compito. Dal 2012 siamo preparati: il terremoto ci svegliò all’improvviso e increduli, nudi e scalzi ci ritrovammo fra montagne di macerie, stavolta siamo pronti o meglio crediamo di esserlo.
Terra di alluvioni l’Emilia-Romagna, i racconti del nonno, di quando l’acqua entrava nelle stalle e ricopriva le campagne, gli sfollati accolti da vicini e parenti, miseri pranzi fatti con avanzi di ogni tipo trasformati in polpette!
“Protezione Civile: da dove chiama?” «Aiuto venite a prendermi ho un metro di acqua in casa!»
“Squadra 1 a Base, ci sentite?” “Ricevuto parlate” «Il livello del fiume sale di 20 cm l’ora non lo abbiamo mai visto così, è una alluvione anomala devastante, prepariamoci perché il peggio arriverà fra uno o due giorni. Diramate l’ordine di salire ai piani alti o di lasciare subito le abitazioni non c’è tempo per raccogliere le proprie cose!». Dalla postazione base capiamo che sarà un’altra dura prova anzi durissima senza precedenti, forse non siamo pronti, ancora noi!
Dalle spiagge immagini impressionanti: «Qui il pericolo arriva sempre dal mare, stavolta ci ha sorpreso da terra, mentre il mare in contemporanea respinge all’interno le acque e i detriti dei fiumi, un fenomeno mai visto».
L’acqua continua a salire, tracima dagli argini ormai stressati da detriti e correnti fortissime, invade città e campagne, e sale ancora e ancora, i tecnici non capiscono!
Strade, frane, crolla tutto, colli e appennini irraggiungibili, la luce? Ma chissà quando sarà ripristinata, ci sono 50mila utenze non funzionanti, servono soldi in contanti impossibile usare le carte elettroniche, ah già le banche sono finite sott’acqua quindi? Bancomat fuori uso, supermercati da buttare insieme ai viveri.
“Signore vada via subito, salga in alto non resti in casa” «No io non me ne vado preferisco morire ho i ricordi di una vita». Il giorno successivo lo ritrovano cadavere nell’acqua accanto ai ricordi. Per noi è una sconfitta, non siamo riusciti a trasmettere il grado di pericolo!
«La mia azienda è distrutta, abbiamo mangiato tanti gelati e torte perché la fabbrica che li produce deve buttare tutto manca la corrente!».
“Lo sai che oggi sono arrivati i ragazzi, sì quelli della generazione zeta, cantano e ballano sporchi di fango, portano un sorriso agli anziani tristi e soli, sì sono tantissimi, intonano Romagna Mia e gli occhi si riempiono di lacrime, li abbiamo visti arrivare eccome se li abbiamo visti, quelli che noi adulti avevamo dimenticato al tempo del Covid, e chi se lo ricorda più quel maledetto virus, stiamo peggio di allora, siamo sempre noi quelli della piadina e delle sfogline!”
Partono le squadre sommozzatori, donne e uomini addestrati, pieni di entusiasmo, salvano persone e animali, donano abbracci insieme a vigili del fuoco, croce rossa, carabinieri e militari, sono svegli da oltre 24 ore, stanchi, ancora loro insieme a tanti altri arrivati da tutta Italia!
Si continua a rompere argini per far defluire l’acqua sacrificando le campagne per salvare il patrimonio storico delle città d’arte, sì ne conosciamo il valore!
Ma quanti giorni sono passati? E chi se lo ricorda. “Ehi lei signora, un’ora fa mi ha detto che mandava i soccorsi, non sono ancora arrivati cosa aspetta?” «Già cosa aspetto, che Squadra1 risponda alla ennesima chiamata e sale il nodo alla gola, perché non risponde?». “Squadra 1 a Base” «Finalmente Squadra 1 c’è bisogno di voi è urgente correte» «Non sappiamo come arrivare la strada è crollata, gli elicotteri non riescono ad atterrare, proviamo a piedi sperando che le torce reggano perché non riusciremo a ricaricarle, ah importante: ditegli di accendere una candela e metterla sulla finestra o in un punto alto altrimenti come li vediamo?».
Il rumore dell’acqua, un silenzio assordante ci accompagnerà per giorni. «Signora di che cosa ha bisogno: di braccia che ci aiutino a buttare fango e detriti, ho perso tutto, avevo una cioccolateria, tutto da buttare anzi no, i cioccolatieri sono qui con me a mani nude e siamo una squadra di operai e imprenditori insieme e riapriremo prima possibile: sì operai e imprenditori uniti come sempre in questa terra, fra un urlo e una pacca sulla spalla!».
L’archivio storico della biblioteca? Distrutto, una frattura radicale con la memoria, con il passato, un tappeto di fango, ed ecco che si tenta la “surgelazione dei libri”: sì congeliamo i vecchi testi con una tecnica innovativa grazie alla cella messa a disposizione da un’impresa della zona!
La Romagna affoga e l’Emilia piange, anzi no, si asciuga le lacrime, porta in salvo cavalli, maiali, cani, pappagalli, polli e oche, alcuni affogano ma gli emiliano-romagnoli aggrappati a coperchi strappati con le mani nude dai contenitori dei rifiuti che galleggiano e trasformati in zattere si salveranno! Speriamo!
«Squadra1 a Base, oggi insieme alla generazione zeta e agli sfollati, abbiamo mangiato polpette e piselli, una piccola pausa e si riparte!».Ah era quello che raccontava il nonno ma non siamo nel 2023? E si ricomincia daccapo da 70 anni fa!
I commenti su eventuali responsabilità li lascio ad altri, noi pensiamo alle persone, le portiamo sulle spalle, facciamo compagnia a chi ha il terrore negli occhi e la voce tremante, ma non chiamateci angeli, siamo volontari! Abbiamo ritrovato i giovani o loro hanno trovato noi dimostrando che ci sono sempre stati!
