La violenza di genere sembra non dare tregua e l’Europa mette in campo fondi per inizitive che la combattano alla radice. L’ultimo bando è pubblicato nell’ambito del programma di finanziamento “Rights, Equality and Citizenship 2014-2020” dedicato alla prevenzione e alla lotta alla violenza di genere e sostiene progetti nazionali e transnazionali per la prevenzione e la lotta alla violenza su donne e minori che prevedano attività di apprendimento reciproco nonché protocolli e metodologie di intervento trasferibili in altri Paesi e in nuovi contesti.
Le priorità definite dal bando sono quattro: prevenzione primaria della violenza di genere ovvero sradicare pregiudizi e stereotipi sui quali si fondano atteggiamenti sociali che incoraggiano o tollerano la violenza contro le donne; protezione e sostegno delle vittime; coordinamento e adeguamento dei servizi esistenti di sostegno alle vittime di violenza in un’ottica di inclusione di rifugiati e migranti; trattamento dei colpevoli di reati violenza. Il bando ha stanziato in tutto 9,7 milioni di euro. I progetti giudicati finanziabili potranno beneficiare di una sovvenzione diretta per un importo minimo di 75.000 euro e di una copertura massima dei costi in regime di co-finanziamento pari all’80% delle spese ammissibili. Le candidature devono essere presentate entro il 14 novembre attraverso il sistema online della Commissione europea, che si trova qui.
